As an artist, I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to paint and draw without boundaries. My style is largely experimental with an emphasis on landscape, figure, portrait and abstract art. I never set out to replicate an image but instead strive to convey a mood or evoke an emotion using loose lines, rich textures and bold colours.

The opening reception coincided with the All that Jazz Music Festival in
Port Hope last Friday. The evening was busy and a lot of fun (even without alcohol!).
Thanks to Oliver Steins for hosting this exciting annual event
and thank you to all the volunteers of Spirit of the Hills!
I find on dreary days I'm in my studio craving colour.
Even when my intention is to paint a dull, somber scene
I feel compelled to use lots of warm reds and yellows.
