Autumn is Too Short!

The colour of these leaves were stunning!  I'm glad I was able to see them before the wind took them away. It's a great idea to  buy a painting of fall so you can enjoy it year round :).  Hey look, this one is available...  Leaves Ablaze 36" x 24" Acrylic on Gallery Canvas

Dreary November?

It seems to me that at this time of year, November, people are depressed.  I think it's because it gets dark at 4:30, it's getting cold. Outside there is a total lack of colour!  'Tis the season to  paint adding extra unexpected bursts of bright and happy values. Funky Beats 36" x 24" Acrylic on Canvas

Craving Colour

I find on dreary days I'm in my studio craving colour.  Even when my intention is to paint a dull, somber scene  I feel compelled to use lots of warm reds and yellows. Blue Sky is on the Way 48" x 36" (Diptych, 2 @ 24" x 36")  Acrylic on Canvas
