Its been a wet and cloudy couple of days and I was feeling a little depressed.  I grabbed a canvas and just started painting with bright and happy colours.  I didn't have a direction for this abstract and sometimes that's okay!   No Direction 20" x 24" Acrylic on Canvas

SOLD.  Well, That was fast. I had just finished painting on my last canvas (thanks to Covid 19 I am running out!) I wasn't completely sure whether it was done or not and just like that, SOLD! I've had lots of time behind the easel lately. A friend of mine who lives in BC posted an amazing picture of the cherry blossoms in his area, so I took inspiration from their beauty. In September of last year I was asked to participate as a Wildcard artist on The Landscape Artist of the Year. The episode that I appeared in was filmed at Cobourg Marina (episode 2). The artists were given 4 hours to create an image which would be judged and the top 3 would continue at the paint-off at the end of the season. Sadly, I didn't place and ended up mostly on the cutting room floor, lol. I had a great time and met amazing people. The show airs on Sunday nights at 9pm on Makeful.  SOLD! Landscape   Artist  of the Year Canada   airs Sundays at 9 pm ET/PT,  starting February 16, exclusively on Makeful  during the channel’s eight-week free preview event running from Feb. 3 to April 5 across Canada.

I started off the long weekend right by celebrating a win at the Society of Canadian Artist's members only juried art show at Todmorden Mills, Toronto. I was honoured to be presented with the Award of Merit for "Laced Branches". Such a great event and a privilege to be surrounded by so much talent.

I had a great time at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair last weekend. The weather was a little trying at times but I met some great people, including other artists and new fans of my works. I loved hearing all the feedback from everyone regarding my individual style.  Thank you to all!
